Conference Details
COSELL 2026 will take place on Friday, September 18 (9:00am–6:00pm) and Saturday, September 19 (9:00am–12:30pm) at Berkeley Law in Berkeley, CA.

Welcome reception: On Thursday evening, September 17, we'll kick things off with a welcome no-host reception, held jointly with attendees of the Junior Work Law Scholars Conference (which takes place at UC Berkeley earlier that day). We hope you'll arrive in time to join us!
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and coffee will be provided on both Friday and Saturday. We will also gather for a conference dinner, sponsored by UC Berkeley, on Friday evening.
PERB 50th anniversary conference: Immediately following COSELL, Berkeley Law will host a labor law conference celebrating the 50th anniversary of California's Public Employment Relations Board (Saturday, September 19, 1:00–6:00pm). We encourage you to stick around for it, if you can! Travel and Accommodations
Flights: Berkeley is served by two nearby airports. Oakland International (OAK) is the closest and most convenient — about 30-45 minutes by car or BART. San Francisco International (SFO) offers more flight options and is about 60-75 minutes away by car or BART.
Ground travel: BART runs directly from both airports to Downtown Berkeley station, a 15-20 minute walk from the law school. Rideshares and taxis are also readily available.
Hotels: We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza — a short walk from the law school — at a conference rate of $289/night. Note that it will likely be over $300/night; hotel prices in the area are, regrettably, quite expensive, so we recommend booking early.
